Hi guys have you ever thought about what it was like to live in the 80s? Or perhaps you had an idea or imagined what it is like to be a porn star and evolve in the he he he industry? Well, if your answer to these questions is "yes", then Boogie Nights is definitely a movie made and produced for you. Not that many people dream or dreamt about what it was like living in the 80s and so on, but there is some kind of magical appeal to this era, when people were very emancipated and had a nice time enjoying their bodies and freedom. Though, this might look a bit vulgar and wild these days, I for one think that it is the kind of thing that we lack in the world we live in. Not talking about porn (we all know that there is lots of it and finally it's free!!!). What I'm talking about is the decadence. Decadence in it's purest form which succeeds in remaining glamorous and intriguing. Decadence which is so obscene and yet so alluring. All that and much more is so perfectly portrayed in the star of today's post Boogie Night. As they say, "a movie where every inch matters" :-)
So, back to movie. Not that talking about porn is boring, but the movie is really a great one, too. Think the thing I got most out of it is the way people do lose their mind when they come into contact with fame and glory. Some don't, but the vast majority does and it does it ways which go beyond my understanding. We all know that becoming famous quickly leads to being burnout, but the question is, should this be a constant phenomena or perhaps there are ways to deal with it. I mean have a look at some of the greatest like D' Angelo, Lauryn Hill, in fact almost all so-called celebrities at some point lost self-control and eventually went down "hell's road", loosing their talent and appeal down the way.
In short we can say that Boogie Nights, is a movie about the rise and fall of a you bus-boy who had a big penis and was enrolled in the porn industry. Mark Wahlberg who plays the role of this bus-boy success in pulling off such a stunning that there is only one thing you can add to it and that will be, "mind-blowing"!!! I've rarely seen an actor go through so much transformation in a movie without losing his credibility. And the whole cast for that matter is absolutely awesome. I can't imagine how hard it was for the director of this movie to bring together all this stars and actually make it work. The exact opposite of what Movie 43 does.

So, if you are into a movie that will make you contemplate on an industry that for long had been considered a margin and in fact contemplate on the why's and how's of people being engulfed by fame, drugs and money. Boogie Nights is definitely highly recommended. Or perhaps, you are into some sort of nostalgia for the 80s. In any of these cases just remember to keep it Boogie Woogie.
