Bill Hicks

Hi everyone, so how has the ride been so far? Good? Well it has been good for me. The most important is not to forget that this thing we call life is just “a ride”. If you haven't got where I'm heading to yet, then you should know that it's Bill Hicks who is the star of today's post.

The first thing a close friend of mine told me when I told her about Bill Hicks was “Denis, where the hell do you get all this guys from?”. Well, the answer would probably be - “The same place where everyone gets pictures of all these kittens from”. What I mean is that I am sick and tired of all this people on FB and other social networks who think its their duty to share yet another picture of a kitten they saw on kittens.com or some other crappy website of this nature. But I guess we aren't here to talk about that, rather here to enlighten the world a bit more with some great people out there who actually did something to shake our minds a bit more in the right direction. And as I said before there is no one better to start with than Bill Hicks.

You know, there aren't many people and moreover comedians out there who are into a real change in society. If I think about it, I can hint on guys like George Carlin at most. But when I saw this performance down here of Bill, I quickly understood that George is not alone. Here just have a look.

I mean isn't it amazing? Also covering topics like religion, drugs, politics and of course human behavior. In addition to that he does it with the outermost talent, I think. Really hardcore, but still gets the message through. Attacking all major institutions we have in our society with a ardor yet to be attained. In short a great man and an even greater human. Well, these are the kind of impressions I get from Bill Hicks. I mean just take a look at this video of his best moments, there is "Truth", moving up and down all over the show and I still don't get it why is it that people aren't influenced by such personalities? Really weird that people would prefer to have a look at "Jackass" or some other kind of b******t out there!!!
