Someone once told me there is nothing better to start your week with,
than a good movie that keeps you going. So being a big fan of movies
(who unfortunately doesn't always start his week with a movie), I
have a small present for you guys, "The Road" (watched it?
No? Well you definitely should)
So as you can see from the poster, you shouldn't be expecting
anything optimistic from this movie. Yes this is a drama and to make
things a bit worse, it's a drama taking place in a post –
apocalyptic future. Well who am I kidding, right? All you guys must
be out there thinking that Denis has become a moaning and depressing
dude :-). Well I'm not. To say the truth, I was never a big fan of
sad dark movies such as "The Road". But I don't know why, this film just got me
hooked from the very first moments. If you might need to watch a
trailer before making up your mind, here take a look:
So as I was saying, the plot of the movie is about a family (dad and
son) who are trying to cope with their surrounding which is mere
desert and hardship. Following this movie from beginning to the end
is a real thrill which you hardly get this days. I've personally
rarely been touched do much be the hardship and suffering of someone
on screen. But in this movie it is shot with such prowess that you
real feel for this guys. And everything that happens to them,
resonates deeply with the viewer. In short, the real deal. So go on
guys get it, watch it and enjoy it:-). Quite sure you won't regret
it.
Hmm, I already DLed it year ago, and I'm still planning to watch it). I like postapocalyptic theme very much and I heard that The Road is much deeper than, for example, Book of Eli. But usually i'm not ready to watch so dark film...
ReplyDeleteBut hey, Mad Max forever! :D
Yura Yura Yura :-) it's so great reading all this feedback from you. A real pleasure. Talking about post apocalypsis and so on, join you in your love for Mad Max and want to say that The Book of Eli is really not as good as many people say it is. Too dark and common. Nothing that really stands out as it is the case with The Road...
DeleteYep, and i still haven't done the homework. :D
DeleteBook of Eli... do you mean usual? ordinary? hmm, I agree. Dark? No, there are films which are darker. "Hell"(2011), for example (it's postapocalypsis too). Heh...
But really my heart is in Fallout(Fallout3). But unfortunately (or fortunately for me :D) this isn't a film.

I just want to start a flame in your heart.."
