So having this idea of the importance
of having a sense of humor I was really into comedy stand ups. From
Bill Cosby to Chris Rock. Then I came across a guy who in my opinion
is and was simply "the funniest man on the planet" –
George Carlin.

So as you might have understood
already, wanna share some of my favorite shows with you guys today,
as well as tell you a bit more about this guy. As usual I wouldn't go
into a detailed description of his biography (I mean who am I
kidding, all of you know Wikipedia right?). Would rather tell you
about the things I find fascinating about this gentleman and of course get into the things he made me think of. That's right, "think
of", because not only was George (if I may) a master in making
people laugh, he is also undeniably one of those people who could and
I guess still can influence the way people think about the world they
live in. Indeed, I reckon a few people of this caliber who can really
change the world into a positive way. And since we are here to open
up to a new perception of the world we live in, I guess it will only
be fair to start with George Carlin.
The first show that I watched with
George was this:
Really made me laugh to
tears.
Then I got to know the
personality of this guy a bit better and faced a world of rebellion,
change, character and what have you, all impersonated in one man,
"George Carlin". I mean, there aren't many comedians out
there who are as socially oriented as George. You'd say that there
are actually a lot of them (absolutely agree with you), but none will
talk about major institutions like education, politics, nutrition and
even religion, the way George does it. Moreover, I can't think of
anyone who'd do it with such a high level of skill. You guys must be
thinking that here is another "fan boy" trying to create a fan site of
some sort. Well you're wrong. Just have a look at this performance:
Quite smart, right?
And it goes on and on with
George throughout his entire career. Even towards the end of his
career in 2008 (when he died from persistent heart problem) he could
still show off with stunts such as this:
Already in his 70s!!!
Still kicking it.
Don't want to cut a long
story short here, so I will try to provide you guys with posts regarding the way George Carlin filled my live with some of the most
amazing thought and feelings. Stay tuned, enjoy George Carlin!!!
